CHELSEA WALTON FOR STITTSVILLE

A candidate who knows the programs, understands the services, and knows how to get results.

I’m Chelsea Walton.

I’m a Stittsville neighbour, a local mom raising my family here, and a community builder. For the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of working inside the City of Ottawa - including right here in our Stittsville ward office.

I’m running for City Council because I love the village character of our community, and I want to ensure that as we grow, we remain a place where families can truly thrive. We all want the same things: roads that are well maintained, neighbourhoods that feel safe, and local services - like healthcare and recreation - that keep pace with our lives.

I’m asking for your support because I believe my experience can be put to work for Stittsville residents from day one. I know how City Hall works, how to move issues forward, and how to help residents get results. I’m ready to hit the ground running and make sure Stittsville’s priorities are heard clearly.

I’m focused on three things that matter most to our community:

1

A Connected & Safe Community

Advocating for reliable transit, smart investment in roads and infrastructure, and safer residential streets.

2

Protecting the Stittsville We Love

Protecting greenspace, improving access to recreation, and supporting strong local services and businesses.

3

Responsive
Leadership

Running an office grounded in clear, consistent communication, accessible service, and strong advocacy for Stittsville’s priorities.

A Better Path Forward for Stittsville

Through my work at City Hall, I’ve seen how decisions are made and what it takes to move things forward. I also understand where challenges can slow progress - and how to navigate them. Here in Stittsville, I’ve built strong connections with residents and have a clear understanding of the everyday issues people are facing.

As a mom raising five daughters in this community, I’m personally invested in building a place where people of all ages and backgrounds feel safe, supported, and connected.

I’m running to bring together experience, community insight, and a practical approach to getting things done—because Stittsville deserves strong, effective representation.

I’m not saying Hazel’s campaign artwork guarantees victory… but I am saying Chipy the chipmunk has officially endorsed me 🐿️💜One of the biggest things people ask me at the doors is how they can help. Honestly? Lawn signs make a HUGE difference in municipal campaigns. They help build momentum, start conversations, and let neighbours know there’s growing support across Stittsville. If you’d be willing to take a sign, comment below or send me a message and we’ll add you to the list! ... Don’t let the sarcastic welcome signs fool you- I think we found one of Stittsville’s friendliest streets. 💜While out canvassing in the rain, we were invited inside for tea by Gurinder, Ramandeep, and their children. The warmth, encouragement, and support this family has shown me has been truly incredible.A few doors down, we met Fallon, who spoke about how much she loves living in Stittsville and being on a street where kids are still out playing together after school. A woman with many talents and interests, and such a great reminder of what makes this community special. These are the moments that stick with you. This is what makes Stittsville awesome - Let’s be sure to keep it that way!#Stittsville #KeepStittsvilleAwesome #Community #ChelseaWalton ... See MoreSee Less

I stopped by the Stittsville-Goulbourn Horticultural Society plant sale yesterday and decided it was best to be honest about my gardening abilities right from the start. So naturally, I went straight to master gardener Judith Cox and asked for the most resilient, hardest-to-kill plants available. If these ones don’t survive, we may need to accept that the problem is me.Huge thanks to Judith and all of the volunteers who put together such a fantastic community event. Stittsville is lucky to have people who share so much knowledge, time, and patience with the rest of us aspiring gardeners. 🌼. #Stittsville #KeepStittsvilleAwesome ... See MoreSee Less

Probably won’t be going pro anytime soon but I had the best time at the Goulbourn Lawn Bowling Club this morning! A very special thank you to Don and Chris for your help and warm welcome. Great to have such a social, inclusive and accessible recreation option close to home. ... See MoreSee Less

I’ve had great conversations lately with women in the community about leadership, public service, and the reality of stepping forward for roles like this while balancing careers, kids, caregiving, volunteering, and everything else life throws at us.Many women have shared that they’re excited to see someone with lived experience that reflects so many families in Stittsville putting their name forward for Council. That support means everything to me.Thank you to Heather and so many others who have taken the time to encourage me, share ideas, and remind me why this campaign matters. Local government works best when more voices are at the table and more people feel like they belong there. 💜 #WomenInPolitics #RepresentationMatters #Stittsville #KeepStittsvilleAwesome #VoteChelsea ...
